This story features the Fourth Doctor and his assistant the Second Romana, though it is slightly AU in the Doctor Who universe. It was written as a prequel to my fanfiction The Trip of a Lifetime, which was a dramatic revision of a previous fic of mine titled “All Other Destinations.” This fic is also a bit of a revision of “Destinations” in that it makes use of a scene I had originally written in “Destinations” but that got cut out of the rewrite “Lifetime.”
